About the Speaker

Pastor Snell was born on March 12,1977 in Tallahassee, Florida to Deborah and Larry Snell. He is the eldest of two brothers Javaris Snell, 23, and Andrew Snell, 18. His family accepted the truth in 1987, as he and his parents were baptized into the Maranatha SDA Church in Tallahassee, Florida. From the time he joined the church he was active in the Lord’s Army, serving as Jr. Deacon and youth ministry assistant.At the age of 17, he began to feel the call of God on his life.

He accepted and embraced the call to the ministry as a freshman at Oakwood College. Pastor Snell distinguished himself as a leader from the minute he set foot on campus. In 1997 he served as the United Student Movement Vice-President. Because of his faithfulness the Lord called him to greater responsibility as he served with distinction as the President for the U.S.M. In 1999, he graduated with a B.A. in Theology from Oakwood College. That spring he accepted a call to pastor with the South Central Conference.

Upon graduating, Pastor Snell began his graduate school matriculation at Andrews University. While at Andrews, he served as the Youth Pastor for the Praise Fellowship SDA Church in South Bend,Indiana. In December of 2001 he received his Masters of Divinity from Andrews Theological Seminary. Just before graduation, he began courting the former Gianna Norman of Nashville, Tn. Pastor Snell’s life was made complete as they were married November 2, 2003. On March30, 2010 Pastor Snell and Gianna were blessed with their first son Jadon Christopher Snell.

In January of 2002 Pastor Snell was installed as the pastor of Salem SDA Church in Columbus, MS and the Lee Memorial SDA Church in West Point, MS. During his tenure there, the Lord blessed his ministry tremendously. Through personal ministry and an emphasis on evangelism the Lord added steady growth to the churches and souls were won for the kingdom.

In February 25 2006, he was installed as the pastor of the Lima Drive SDA Church in Lexington, KY. Over the course of his four year tenure Lima Drive experienced genuine revival as the church was transformed into a “House of Prayer.” On July 17,2010 Pastor Snell began his post as the Senior Pastor of the First SDA Church of Huntsville, Alabama. Since his arrival at First Church explosive growth has taken place as hundreds of souls have been added to the kingdom in the last 25months. His Favorite text is II Cor.5:17 which states that if any man be in Christ Jesus he is a new creature, old things are passed away behold all things are made new.
