About the Speaker
MyRon Pelote Edmonds was born to Pastor & Mrs. Ronald Edmonds in Berrien Springs, Michigan. He attended Seventh-day Adventist elementary schools in New Jersey and Washington DC. He graduated from Pine Forge Academy in 1995.
Pastor Edmonds responded to the call to the gospel ministry while a student at Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama through the inspiration of a conversation with the late Dr. E.E. Cleveland. He graduated from Oakwood College (now Oakwood University) in 1999 with a B.A. in Theology and continued his academic growth at Andrews University completing his Masters of Dvinity in 2001. He completed his Doctor of Ministry from Andrews Theological Seminary with a concentration in Family Ministries in 2014. His dissertation project research deals with the role and absence of African-American men as Spiritual Leaders.
Pastor Edmonds is an author and recently published his first book “40 Days to Life-Changing Family Worship” which has helped many families experience the power of God in the home.
Pastor Edmonds is happily married to his high school sweetheart, Dr. Shanee’ Arthurs of Cleveland, Oh. She is a praciticing dentist. They are the parents of daughter, Teylor and son, Camden.
His pastoral experience began with distinction within the South Central Conference (Nashville, TN) as the associate pastor to Pastor Benjamin Jones of the historic First SDA Church of Huntsville, AL. He was then called to the 3 church districts of Franklin, Shelbyville and Murfreesboro, TN where he pastored innovatively and exceptionally for 6 years.
Pastor Edmonds now serves at Glenville SDA Church in Ohio and is passionate about preaching and leading people to Jesus Christ. His motto in life is Matthew 6:33: “But seek first the kingdom of heaven, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.”
